I just wanted to take a moment to thank you guys for coming back to Toledo with your new show.  I enjoyed it thoroughly, and felt it well worth the asthma symptoms of the funky Black Cherry basement.  The "Ulysses Crewmen" experience is still buzzing in my mind, and--much as your last performance--will likely linger there for quite some time.

We are all Ulysses’ crewmen. We’ve got wax in our ears and a madman lashed to the mast.

The Situation: Ulysses' Crewmen have mutinied. The captain has been captured and the moral of Homer's tale has been reversed. All the mutineers perished but one, who is now left alone with the hero of all western civilization struggling against obsolete morality and the impossibility of ethical action.

Unplug your ears, release the madness, hear the siren’s song and let yourself be dashed against the rocks!”

Opera Mash-Up tonight will (as always) have live recordings of the whole evening. Tonite we are mashing Opera with Funk then our "Noise Encore" will be kicked off with punk (Brain Damage!!). But any of you who have been to these shows knows that we encourage musicans to come up and play and that The Famous Billy records it all.

We would LOVE LOVE LOVE some scatters (no...not poopers) to come out and scat during our funk jam session. So if you have a diddly-bop-do-whop in you, you should come out.

This Tuesday we are featuring Opera singer Rene Turner. Next Tuesday we have Miriam Leigh and the following Tuesday we have Laura Vacari. Brain Damaged promises to have at least two punk groups a night. And our crazy funk band will get you jump-jive-n-whalin.

As always, no cover. FREE! Under 21 welcome. I LOVE NOISE MUSICIANS!!! So come out an join us during our mash program and do a solo set during "Encore Noise". Even if all you have is a kazoo...dont be shy.

Area 7 in Oakland Park. Located at 3809 North Powerline. Used to be called Duck Soup.

Free event every Tuesday in June. Opera Mash-up and Encore Noise. Opera mash-up is from 9pm to 12am...and open mic noise/experimental sets til close. More then welcome to come play and chill.

LOL this is crazy! And it only works if you have Internet Explorer (I think). You have to go to www . retwistic . com (no spaces) and then after it loads you need to hit the back button or else the funny video won't come up. If that doesn't work then hit the forward button instead.
