If your a song writer, producer or in a band you'd be a fool to miss this event! Wednesday 6th May at The Canteen Generator and the Barrow in Furness Music Co-operative present a day of seminars and workshops designed to support both the artistic and professional endeavors of the musician. Songwriting Masterclass with Jon Byrne / 3pm - 5pm With a musician whose influences are so diverse, expect this session to draw in all kinds of music and be concerned with quality work, both in song writing and composition. *limited spaces still available* A&R Panel Session / 6pm - 7.30pm Faced with the shrinking profits, record labels are adopting a new approach. So do bands and artists now need to do the same? How do artists generate interest from record and publishing companies to begin with? What are the terms of a deal likely to be these days? This panel contains a broad cross-section of contemporary thought, on how artists can cultivate their own careers.
