Answered my own question with the help of Google. I realize it's Bessie JONES, not Bessie Smith. The title is "Turtle Dove" and it's on your Gambling Eden album. Can't wait to get it.

Great show in Rockland! Thanks for coming to Maine. I have a burning question: What is the title to the Bessie Smith gospel tune that has Adam and Eve and a bunch of nonsense words in the lyrics? I've heard this song once before and I HAVE to learn it.
Is it on any of your recordings? Please help!

Just wanted to say how much I loved your show at the Valley Stage in Huntington last night. I think every kid in America grows up dreaming of being in an acoustic funk band that can get people moving and screaming, and then can switch to swing jazz played brilliantly, and then can play an amazingly beautiful ballad that truly moves everyone.
