You guys were fantastic at Trackside! I'm really glad I got to see you guys live! And it was really cool to meet you and thanks for posing for photos, much appreciated! I still think you should consider the offer to take that 'English' guy! He could work well in the band...he's all yours I assure you haha. Hopefully I'll run into you guys at BDO!! Yo wat it is...??? wats new? i know a lot of ppl goin thru some ups and downs right now so I hope life is treating you well. THE RUBYS FIRST BIRTHDAY EXTRAVAGANZA - 4 MORE SLEEPS

One year ago, on a lonely Wednesday evening at a forgettable Collingwood pub, The Rubys played their first gig. Twelve months on, the three scrappy-looking lads have under their belts better songs, more gigs and are infecting Melbourne audiences with catchy, raw, stomp rock n roll pretty much weekly. So to mark the milestone of reaching the ripe old age of one, The Rubys are celebrating with a birthday party! With around 40 gigs down over the previous year and a wildly raucous live set, there has been a lot of jumping around and beer consumed so this Friday at the Old Bar will be no exception. Expect some wild blues-driven sets by The Volatiles and The Bellows to warm things up, and the boy’s favourite two-piece The Cheats bringing it all home. 8:30 start, $8, Party hats provided.

Hey fellas

It was so, so wonderful to see you boys again last night - I had such ball blissing out!!

Your set seemed to go really quickly I must say though, but I suppose that always happens when you're having a good time :)

Oh and picked up a 7"..was debating between that and  tshirt, but I figured I needed to complete my Tame vinyl collection thus far ha ha.

Hope you enjoyed yourselves last night, and throughout the tour - look forward to catching you whenever we're fortunate enough to have you here again.
