In case you haven't heard::
In San Francisco, The Elsewhere Public Works Agency broadcasts an amazing program from Dolores Park.
They have a connection with The Jejune Institute on California St. which, if you visit, you might regard it as one of the best experiences you've ever had in San Francisco.
This is the first time I've been impressed by radio since first hearing Joe Frank.

Joe....Isn't it strange, though it shouldn't be...that we sometimes have little or no contact with those who think like we do...?

Who hasn’t thought, “Take me with you,”
hearing the wind go by?
And finding himself left behind, resumed
his own true version of time
on earth, a seed fallen here to die
and be born a thing promised
in the one dream
every cell of him has dreamed headlong
since infancy, every common minute has served.
Born twice, he has two mothers, one who dies, and one
the mortar in which he’s tried. His double
nature cleaves his eye, splits his voice.
So if you hear him say, while he sits at the bed
of one mother, “Take me home,”
listen closer. To life,
he says, “Keep me at heart.

Hey Joe, have you read any of Michel Houellebecq's works? I've just finished "The Possibility of an Island", and I must say the work is sublime. "The Elementary Particles" is also a terrific read. His work reminds me of your show. I'm a great admirer of yours, to say the least and have been following your work since the late nineties. Any chance of you publishing another collection of short stories?
All the best,
Steve

My son, three (3) of my all-time faaaaaavorite episodes of yours, thus far, are 1.) the one wherein you open a can of serious whup-ass on some detractor in the Armed Forces back in Nam, 2.) the Spiritualist who taunts people over the phone, making it impossible to repeat the healing prayers he espouses, and 3.) the reason Joseph exhibits less than paternal sentiment towards Gee-suss!
I'm a recent inductee, Joe, into your ever-burgeoning audience. Bravo! You are to be lauded w/t highest kudos afforded any great artist. Peace out.
Best wishes,
Anadæ

Jesus... all these stupid seeming Obama things... I can't stand it...
Listen... I'm a huge Joe Frank fan... and it would be nice if he were reading this...
But stop the stupid shit. Obama is the best candidate because he is beyond the political shit that Clinton and everyone else is involved in. Thatd's what we've got to believe. Please don't turn him into some sort of fucking political bastard.
I'm going outside right now. I'm going to vote on Tues. I'm going to vote Obama. He is the best political candidate since political candidates were invented... minus Teddy Roosevelt. Period.

Hey Joe...Just stopped by to wish you the Best of Holidy Wishes. I hope things are going well. Wish I knew of a source where I could pick you up, either online or by radio. I'm stuck in NC...eastern side. It's boring. NO art, not much culture...unless you're into NASCAR and barbeque!...and lots of beer!.
And the years go by, and each year I tell myself I'll manage to get the money to get back out there...or someplace else. Stop by, sometimes. Trade ideas, etc. Meanwhile...Wish you the best, as always.

Joe,
For the first time in the five years I have been listening to you, I finally saw you perform. You were awesome, when I closed my eyes, it was just like listening to you over my speaker. . . only better.
I really enjoyed you and it was good dinner.

Just got back from your performance at Largo. Kudos for an amazing evening. Dark, funny, moving, engaging, nihilistic, and oddly transcendent as always. I hope you make a recording available in some form so the rest of your fans can enjoy. Cheers.
