"Just a Couple of Days" was a great book, too, and I think it would make an amazing movie. (I just wonder what happened with the others after Flake Fountain ditched them and they went back "home"... that would have been interesting to explore... maybe in the movie, huh? 8)

Man, I feel really bad about your latest book... I got it for my birthday in October, and I have yet to finish it 'cause of school and stuff. I've restarted it TWICE, and I finally got past the first half or so (I'll finish it this time). On the OTHER hand, I'm very surprised that your book (or at least the first half) is absolutely fantastic even the third time through.

Serendipitous moment for you and the sentiment behind your latest book:

Today I was reading Nine Kinds of Naked on my flight back to Austin from San Diego. The girl who happened to be in the next seat (who, incidentally, was flying not to Austin but to Dallas) asked me, "How do you like that book?" A friend of mine just gave it to me..."

I'm quite enjoying the book, and it's good to see that it's getting out there. :-) Blessings, my brother.

long time since i have recieved one of your poetic text messages.
well, i am at the final stages of my record that will be released in december and i am finally ready to jump back in the ring and play some shows. (seems i have disappeared from the music scene in the process)
i am playig a solo show at hole in the wall this sunday, oct 5th around 10pm. if you have some time come on out have a beer with me and bring some friends to support this little songstress.
