Yo ho maestro! How's everything going?

Is Chunk still on the go? When's the next gig?

A quick question also... I'm coming down south again with the band at the end of the month - do you know of any venues in Soton that might be willing to give us a support slot?

Spk soon,

Sian x

Hi Ben

Thanks for your kind comment, anytime you are playing in Yorkshire and you need a roadie.. Mixing the sound is dead easy, lots of vocals and bass!
Great little set by the way, at least you had a captive audience!:)

Yes, good to meet you in Yorkshire on Saturday and hear some of your romantic mellow set - just the thing for an upbeat wedding :-). The American Ben Willmott did come up first on the search but you were next, and you look just like the picture so that helps. I enjoyed the Willmott family wedding, though it was a real gathering of the clans

Ciao Ben!
It's good to be friends, I'm afraid I haven't told you so yet. Sorry! I've been busy these weeks building my own website (by the way, have you already visited it? Well, if you've time, you're always welcome!) and recording some new songs... and working, of course :)
But, yeah, things are going well, thanks.
What about you? Is your hat always fine? :)
Martha says hello to you, too!

Keep in touch and keep on playing your cool music!
Take care
Bye for now

Dec 31, 2006 1:16 AM

Hey-ho, never mind! I have it in my real book, I already know it, as does Moise, so it should be fine. Part of the fun of it is the freedom it allows harmonically - space is the key with this one!

Moise wanted you to give him a buzz, not sure if he got in touch, was about PA for tomorrow and the setlist, which seems pretty straightforward. Will catch you there!

Hi mate, sorry I didn't get back to you yesterday, had no credit and then had to shoot straight down to Hamptons. Good to hear you've been chilling out a bit innit, everyone deserves a break from harsh reality from time to time!

Things are very tight now coming up to the 1812 gig, Verity's coming to visit in a few hours and staying until tomorrow, so it's probably more likely that it'll be tomorrow evening that we can have a run-thru? Dunno how you'd be fixed for that?

Even not, it's not like we're stupid - wingin' it shouldn't be too much of an issue either.

Oh, and also, was chatting to Eddy yesterday evening, and he seemed unsure as to whether it was a trio gig at 1812 including him, or just us two? I was under the impression it was a duo, but as it was organised by J, nobody knows what's going on. What did you hear?

Chat soon bud, take it niiiiiice and easy,
TOM

Ben, Ben, Ben...MERRY CHRISTMAS (albeit belated!). How's it going in the westcountry? Had any snow in Budleigh yet?!

Sorry I didn't get in touch sooner, been spending a lot of quality time with the family, which is a pleasure yet quite an unfortunate rarety these days :(

When do you think you'll be free later in the week just to run some charts? Don't think it'll take long, just a 'brief overview' one could say!

Enjoy the rest of the holiday!

Waddup blud, once again thanks again for key-in' at Hamptons, much appreciated, believe it, it added a whole new dimension and also allowed for myself and Eddy to play our own instruments without too much worry! I think the reading thing is something that won't take too long to get back into if you've done it before - nonetheless sounded cool, I don't know many pianists who would take on an evening of Wayne Shorter and John Coltrane charts not only at speed, but also when they have to walk, comp and solo! Big up mate!

If I don't catch you before will see you at the Brief on Sunday, am back in sunny Devon on Saturday for a gig with Roger and Holly, so I'll probably be a dead man walking - we'll see hmm!

Take it easy buddy, have fun!
