I'm a harmonica player. I've recently been advised by a very good harp player that if I really want to get faster and have control of the entire instrument that I should listen to jazz saxophone players. I've always liked jazz somewhat and always called myself a sax maniac. But, now I'm getting a whole new appreciation for the genre. Coltrane Bird and even Benny Goodman have been valuable tools for inspiration. I also may do some portraits of Jazz greats as well as Blues greats, soon.

Hi there! Thank you for your extremely kind words on your blog about my arrangement of In a Sentimental Mood. I really appreciate them. I'm so glad somebody gets it haha. I wrote that arrangement my first semester in New York for a Ballads class taught by Jane Ira Boom at the New School. I was the only person who didn't arrange something in ballad tempo, and I was also the only person who took that many liberties with the reharm! hhah. I was barely 21 what can I say? Now at a mature age of 25(smirk) I can definitely say, it would be crazier haha.
