I am a bit distressed over the new Mastercard "Priceless" commercial... it shows three men visiting three places where (male) rock legends got their big breaks. At the end, it describes a contest that Mastercard users can enter for a chance to "Meet your favorite rock legend where he began".

It bothers me that it clearly says HE, and shows all male musicians. I just think they could have done a better job with choosing a mixed batch of musicians. I can name quite a few female rock legends that could have appeared in this commercial...

What are the chances your MySpace friends and readers would be interested in a letter writing campaign to Mastercard?

Carla, thank you for honoring FANNY with a Rockrgrl Women of Valor Award. They so deserve it! I co-produced a show for June and Jean last night with Lee on drums, and they rocked the house for two hours. They were HOT! Wish you could have been there to see them.

It's such a shame that this magazine is now defunct, but I'm glad I was able to watch it for the last few months before it closed up.
However, I'm glad and very proud that ROCKRGRL lasted as long as it did, so congratulations are in order!

Not to mention, ROCKRGRL's close accosiation with Luna Guitars has lead me to find the most beautiful electric I have ever seen in my life, and I'm saving up manically for it!
Thanks so much for all you've done - directly and indirectly!
