Thanks for the Pearl Jam Mini Opera review! Those were some good times! I appreciate your vast, encyclopedic and, dare I say, astounding knowledge. I am encouraging a national holiday in your honor.. It would be great if we could get radio back again!

So I hav a question and the Last DJ is the only one that I know that can field it and possibly answer it. Why are so many great bands coming out of Brooklyn, NY. right now? Most recently I have been listening to Crystal Stilts and not so recently White Rabbits. These are really interesting bands that granted borrow liberally from the early '80's, UK originators but still manage to make it "happen" right now.
Is this borrough of NYC the new Manchester? And since I mentioned the original "new wave" isn't odd and pleasant that so many current artists are taking those really cool pre-MTV sounds and repurposing them into what we are hearing today from Black Kids and Gang Gang Dance? I would like your thoughts, please?

Hey...you know back in the day, my friends and I would wait on pins and needles all week long for Lunar Rotation. Best show on the radio ever. Especially the episode with all of the bonus and hidden tracks...I miss that show dearly. You rule...you really rule.

Hey David- this is one of our new ones. we performed it at the Fredonia hotel for a red river radio fundraiser, but of course, we couldn't play this one on the radio.

Hey David, why won't you play my band on your program. All my friends want to hear us. C'mon, it's only one song. Surely you can spare three minutes. It's really good. We recorded it in my bedroom, but it is really good. I'll give you a gummi bear if you play it. ok, thanks.

GUMMY BEARS

Recipe By : Unknown

1 package sugar free Jello, any flavor
6 packages gelatin powder, unsweetened, unflavored
1/2 cup cold water

In a small saucepan, mix flavored and unflavored gelatin. Stir it up. Pour
cold water in, stir with spatula until you have a gloppy-chunky blob, not
unlike play-doh. Turn heat on medium, melt blob. Stir obsessively until
melted. Pour into miniature bear molds. Stick in freezer for 10 minutes
to cool. If you don't have Miniature bear molds, do this: take the rack
out of your toaster oven and put it on the counter. Drape a big sheet of
aluminum foil over it. Cram the aluminum foil down into the gaps, leaving
striplike molds. Presto! Gummy worms.

last night i got stuck at the proletariat.
1 positive thing came out of the night -- i got a chance to read the houston press's article by john lomax.
Déjà vu phone flashbacks.
ps. the pop culture museum is lacking one thing -- commemorative t-shirts. yes, the necklace is way better than a t-shirt could ever be, but the necklace supply is finite & it makes those who walk away with one feel special.
if you want some help designing/making/selling/distributing/marketing/(etc.) them, i’m your girl…

Do you remember...meeting Seal for the first time, poolside at the Omni hotel? How 'bout carousing 'round the ticket booth (& certain Staff) at Fitz? That's how long I've known you had a great ear. Your talent will find the next venue. Best Regards, Melissa

How sad. I haven't had anyone recording the show for a while because they got tired of doing it but tonight there were threats involved and you're playing til MIDNIGHT?!? woo-hoo. Gotta go listen to the rest RIGHT NOW! Best of luck in '07!

So sad that this is it. I hope you find a place for your show, or by jove, we will tear down the walls and give you a mic to broadcast/mass communicate from. You should take Thames up on his offer, it would be cool to hear you and him knock out the tracks. Take care and much good luck in the year to come.

Have you seen the movie "Office Space"? You should be that guy and play as your last song "Damn It Feels Good To Be A Gangsta" as you storm out of the building. LOL, J/K. I hope you get a new show in 2007.

I'll miss your show and I'm anxiously awaiting your triumphant return to the airwaves. Last song? My guess is "Love Will Tear Us Apart" by Joy Division but a more accurate title might be "Large Corporate Takeovers Will Temporarily Tear Us Apart". Say hey to Kerry and Jonny tonight from me.

The final song of the night? Something from Get Happy!!, I'd wager. And not "The Impostor". ;)

Sorry I have to miss the finale but I've got a party of my own to set the tone for. Wanna be a guest DJ on Sound Awake in '07? You need only ask! Best o'luck to you, mentor...

OMG ...
Mr. Sadof,
You are really a " Walking Encyclopedia of Music". I am amazed of your knowledge in artistic field. And it should be like this regarding your occupation.
Please forgive my lack of familiarity in this aspect but I feel so narrow-minded:) just realizing that in the world of music I haven't had chance to hear everything yet. Or at least I haven't heard as much as I can cope it:)
And your creativity in CD art shows to me clearly how much you are dedicated on your occupation and what it means for you.
Well this message had the purpose to show and express my respect to you and people like you.
I wish you all the best and well, and my prayers will be with you.
...And Don’t Worry David...some doors are closing, but another is opening for you:)
Enjoy your last show on 31st of Dec. like there will be no tomorrow. And let all of your audience to remember you with a steady and positive attitude as always.
I wish I could witness this show, because I believe it will be historical:)
