And forward to anyone you know that might can help: ----- I am throwing a benefit for Nathan Eslami the son the of the guy that owns the Southside Market. He has Langerhan's Cell Histiocytosis, which you can read about on the myspace site I created for him @ www.myspace.com/nathaneslamibenefit. Due to booking issues, the original date was changed to February 2nd and all of the bands that were scheduled have cancelled. Please let me know if you are willing to donate some of your time to do that one thing you love in order to raise money to help Nathan's family pay for his medical expenses. I need 4 bands. The venue is the Highnote/Rocking Horse on Richard Arrington Blvd The cover is $8. All of the money raised will go to the Eslami family (less $100 for the use of the sound system and the door guy) Please let me know as soon as possible so I can get in touch with the birmingham weekly, black and white, and the city scene. I've talked to Shahrokh (Nathan's dad) and his liver biopsy came back fine which means they have to wait a couple of months just to make sure the chemotherapy worked before doing the bone marrow transplant. If I have to push back the date for the benefit we will still have time to get money to him before they leave for minnesota. However, the date has changed once already and I don't think anyone will show up if I keep changing the date. Please help me make this benefit GREAT! Thanks, Delores

The proposal comes in the wake of recent payola scandals involving the nation’s major record labels and largest broadcasting conglomerates, which left some FCC commissioners concerned about the majors’ ability to dominate the airwaves.
