Travis, I'm a bit ashamed to say I still have several of your books from several years ago. I would like to return them at some point.
Thank you for being so generous and loaning them for so long!

i did actually write that letter. there was hard paper and packing tape involved. i even made my own envelope. i'm just not sure it's mailable. i'm going to take it to the post office and say my kid made it and smile at the postman like he and i have a silly understanding and say something like, "2 year olds..ha ha..." i may even nudge him with my elbow or wink.

You do recall our entire "paddling to Portugal in the time that it takes you to respond...you couldn't paddle that fast....blah blah blah" exchange, I hope. Otherwise my attempt at a joke was a huge flop. You did get the note enclosed, right?

Look for something in the mail from me in a few days. I'm an awful procrastinator, so it's lost a bit of it's... comedic edge. BTW, as far as the sarcasm goes, you should generally go with the "50" that says I am...

Holy cows, sheep, and other farm yard beasts! Your birthday is coming up...what's that make you now, almost old as dirt? I like to think of myself as a fine whiskey, getting better with age...so, welcome to the top shelf, pour someone shot of you.
