Samuel Brunel is an upcoming artist from France who released his debut track on Autist. His new EP "Orpheo" is a peak time techno track that will rock all dancefloors! Samuel is a relatively new name on the minimal scene but certainly a name to watch in the new year…

Trained as a pianist, Samuel Brunel became quickly influenced by repetitive music, from Philip Glass to Steve Reich. He began integrating machines into his compositions, and the evocative power and energy of minimal techno fascinated him. He eventually traded his instruments for a computer, which led to various collaborations with classical musicians and filmmakers…

Everything starts with Samuel’s original approach. The track includes rolling percussions with a bassy drive and a lots of dynamic background action that makes this track a real infectious groove…
For the first time, Zhao offers a decidedly techno track with a cyclical & bleep touch that will surprise many! Redj’s remix is a minimal techno track deep & dark to get cold in the back… Finally, Zecapx delivers a mental version with sliced leads, a swing bass line and deconstructed samples.

'Awakening' was my finishing college project last year. im working on several other projects at the moment but they wont be ready for a few months. but i would love to submit Awakening, i have it on mini DV format aswell from when it was shown at the Galway Film Fleadh last year. How do i go about submitting?

Feeling Blue Project is a new web-based project by Barry W. Hughes / Bahs. Everyone and anyone is asked to submit a
small digital photo of a temporary sculpture created using re-usable adhesive (e.g. Blutack). Email the photo and your name to be included on a wall of images displaying each submission. There are no restrictions as to what you sculpt.

Each photo must be JPG format, no larger than 700 x 500 pixels, and 72 dpi. You can find the newly commenced project at www.barrywhughes.com/feelingblueproject.htm or email directly to feelingblueproject@gmail.com

there are just 20 days left to enter onedotzero and MTV’s Bloom competition to find the best up-and-coming moving image talent from around the world. onedotzero and MTV will commission a series of innovative one-minute-films to be shown around the world via the MTV network and onedotzero events.

to enter send a written treatment for a one-minute-film that explores identity, local environment and community

we are looking for impressive responses, both in terms of mood and emotion and in terms of technique and exploring new angles that challenge conventional perception. the techniques used in the film treatment are completely open and could include animation such as stop frame, cell and digital techniques as well as motion graphics, 3d, photography, film, and video

submissions should be sent in the form of a written treatment, accompanied by at least one of the following: mood boards with visual references, storyboards, test films, animatic.

entries must be received by january 31 2007
